Distribution

Occurs from the Gawler Ra. and NE Eyre Penin., S.A., E to the Barrier Ra. and the Manara Hills–Ivanhoe area, N.S.W.; also further E in N.S.W. from near Dubbo, Cobar and Jerilderie but probably naturalized or cultivated in these areas.

Description

Peduncles (2–) 4–7 (–8) mm long, 1–2 mm wide, very thick (dry); heads 8–10 mm diam. (dry), (50–) 54–67-flowered.

Habitat

Grows in shrubland on rocky ridges and hillsides or sometimes in sand in mulga communities.
